Dr. Beth Robinson is native to the Houston area, originally from Katy, Texas. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Texas A&M University. After working several years as an actuarial analyst, Dr. Robinson expanded her outlook and pursued optometry as a profession. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is currently a Texas Optometry Board licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and a certified Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
Dr. Robinson has been working with Dr. Manuel in Clear Lake since her final externship rotation of optometry school, which specialized in ocular disease treatment and complex contact lens fittings. Additionally, she completed two equally challenging rotations at the University of Houston Eye Institute Ocular Diagnostics and Medical Eye Clinic followed by Bridge Builders Eye Clinic in Dallas where she was heavily immersed in ocular disease management and treatment, including diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
While in optometry school at U of H, Dr. Robinson held many leadership positions and was awarded several scholarships and awards throughout the four-year program. Her positions and recognitions include President of the Optometric Student Association, Robert Zipper Leadership Award, Grand Rounds Award, Medical Eye Service Excellence Award, Gas Permeable Lens Institute Clinical Excellence Award, and University of Houston Presidential Fellowship. She remains a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Harris County Optometric Society. Dr. Robinson is also an Assistant Adjunct Professor for the University of Houston College of Optometry, actively training fourth year students during their externship rotation.
Dr. Robinson is passionate about spending time with family, especially her beautiful young children and her husband who is a practicing attorney and JAG officer in the United States Army National Guard. Dr. Robinson loves dogs and has a blind pug and a black lab. When time allows, she enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and traveling. She has one Houston marathon under her belt and several half marathons in Texas and Louisiana. Dr. Robinson thoroughly enjoys getting to know her patients and caring for their vision and eye health.
